BMOW ROM-inator - Make Your Own Kit Instructions January 26, 2018 https://www.bigmessowires.com/mac-rom-inator/ PCB: Download the Gerber files from the ROM-inator web site. These are the set of 10 files named universal1.GBL, universal1.GBO, etc. Send the Gerber files to a hobbyist-friendly PCB fabrication service like OSHPark or Seeed Studio to make the PCB. Many options are available from electronics suppliers or eBay. Initial programming: Download the "data files for in-system ROM updating" from the ROM-inator web site. You'll find the files for the flash chips in the subdirectory: misc/for EPROM programmer. Use your EPROM programmer to write the rominator-hi.bin file to one of the 39SF040 chips, and the rominator-lo.bin file to the other chip. NOR gate: Solder the 74HCT02 chip to the PCB. It's a surface mount chip, but it has widely-spaced pins and can easily be soldered with a standard soldering iron. If you accidentally bridge two adjacent pins with solder, use desoldering braid to wick away the excess solder and eliminate the bridge. You can now finish the ROM-inator assembly using the standard instructions from the BMOW kit.
