ARROWS plays Prince of Persia without changing the game's keys.
WASD plays Dark Castle without changing the game's keys.
KEYPAD suits games played on the numeric keypad, like Power Pete.
FLIGHT plays Hellcats Over the Pacific without changing the game's keys.

Pointer modes:
- Relative pointer: the stick moves the pointer while it's pushed, faster the
farther it's pushed, like a mouse.
- Auto-center: the stick's position sets the pointer's position. This requires
setting the Mac's Mouse control panel to its slowest setting (Tablet) in order
to work correctly. Good for flight simulators or games that use the mouse to
  aim.
- Click the right stick (R3) to switch between the two pointer modes. Choosing a
  profile resets the pointer mode.
- Pulling L2 slows the pointer movements for fine-grain control.
- The Pointer speed setting in the Wombat's preferences menu also affects the
game controller's pointer speed and its auto-center range.

Custom game controller profiles:
- There are four custom profiles, CUSTOM 1 to 4. To edit one, open the
preferences menu and select option 7 for the profile configuration submenu.
- Press 1 to enter learning mode and edit the profile's mappings. While in
learning mode, press any controller button, then the key it should type. Hold
two keys together (such as Shift and Z) to make the button press both. Click
the mouse instead to make it the mouse button, or press Select to make it do
nothing. Change as many buttons as you like, then press ESC to go back to the
  editor's menu.
- Submenu item 2 swaps the two sticks, for a pointer on the left stick.
- Items 3 to 6 copy a built-in profile to the current custom profile slot.

Selecting profiles:
- Each profile has a shortcut for quick access. Choose a profile by holding
Select and pressing a D-pad direction (built-in profiles) or a face button
(custom profiles). For shortcuts, the top button (D-pad or face) selects the
first profile in the set, and the others in the set continue clockwise around
  the button group.
- Profiles can also be chosen from the preferences menu, option 6.
- The selected profile is remembered after power-off.

Supported game controllers:
- Xbox 360-style controllers (XInput), and standard USB game controllers (HID,
also called DirectInput), PlayStation 4 and 5 controllers, and many generic
  and retro-style pads.
- If your controller's buttons don't match the table at the top of this file,
you can remap them in a custom profile.

Naming conventions:
- Buttons are named by their position, because the labels differ by brand.
